What Are You Looking At? and Monday Hops

I knew it was coming. But why does it have to be so soon. Boys are looking at my daughter! My beautiful 10 year old daughter is becoming more beautiful every day. She is almost as tall as I am and she is just a natural beauty.

This weekend I took her to a birthday party and when I picked her up we went to go grab some dinner for the family. As I drove through the drive thru to pick up the food, I wasn't really paying much attention to the person serving me through the window. His tone became so respectful and willing to serve. I looked up to see who this amazing server was. As I looked into the window there were two young teenage boys trying to help me like I have never seen before. I also noticed they were looking at my daughter. I mean REALLY looking at my daughter.

My first reaction was to jump out of the car at him, pin him down and make sure he never looked at her again. Ok, so that wouldn't work. How about I scream at you at the top of my lungs? "She is only 10 and she is still mine!" Probably wouldn't work either.

So, young man, as you are looking at this beautiful girl

Remember this is how I see her.

Please keep your eyes in your head for quite a few years to come. It seems that I better so get myself one of these to keep you at bay.

  14. It doesn't bother me when the boys check out my daughter--well, within reason. If they are looking because she is cute, okay. No leering or being obnoxious is allowed. Okay--she is 15 and I know that is a huge difference. But she is adorable and you will have to get used to the boys checking her out.
