Never A Dull Moment

I have decided to change my last name to the title of this post. I have given up on the notion that I will "ever have it together" or even close. I was almost there this time...really! Things were starting to get to a managable place and then we were forced to put down my two oldest cats this weekend. I can't believe how hard that was and how much it hurts.

My daughter is doing better and her problems are doing a little better, day by day. I have actually been ready to start wrtiting about everything.

My four year old and I were in the ER until 4:30 this morning becasue she woke up at 1:00am and couldn't breathe. I mean couldn't talk - couldn't breathe. I have never been so scared in my life. We are at home resting now waiting for her prescriptions. It is a cross between bronchitus and asthma they think. They don't really even know.

All I know is that I am soo tired and hope tomorrow is a better day.

Dear Puberty

Dear Puberty,

Eleven years ago I gave birth to the most beautiful little girl in the whole wide world. She was a joy, she slept, she barely cried, she wasn't fussy. She was the most perfect baby that any Mom could ask for.

For some reason you decided to take my daughter and turn her into a "young lady". REALLY? You couldn't have given me a few more years? Now she is crazy in hormones, meaner than a bull dog and can roll her eyes better than the exorcist!!

This is the hardest time in any young girls' life. I don't understand why it has to be even sooner. Because when she suffers so do the rest of us!!   :)

Hasbro Ji Ga Zo Puzzle Review

I was so excited to find out that I was given the chance to review Hasbro's new Ji Ga Zo Puzzle.  I had actually already seem a commercial for it and it looked soooo cool! My girls and I love to do puzzles, so this would be perfect to have a family night with.

Ji Ga Zo is a puzzle that you can use your own image with. The best part is when you create your puzzle, you can start all over and make a new one. You are able to make as many puzzles out of images as you like. Since I have four daughters this worked out perfectly for me!!

Product Description:
Ji Ga Zo is revolutionizing the puzzle category! This awesome puzzle has 300 pieces that you arrange to create any face — even your own! Start out with any digital image and upload it using the Ji Ga Zo software. The software figures out the placement of each piece and builds a unique icon map. Then, it’s up to you to arrange the pieces according to the icon map and watch your own special image come together! These 300 pieces are specially created with unique colors and shading that let them interlock to create almost any face image you upload. The possibilities are virtually endless and the “face-making” fun goes on and on! CD-ROM includes icon maps for Mona Lisa, a collie dog, a kitten, a panda bear and MR MONOPOLY.

My girls and I had so much fun making puzzles of each of our faces. This has became our favorite weekend game. We just have to draw straws and figure out whose face we get to do!
Ji Ga Zo includes CD-ROM with software and instructions, 300 puzzle pieces and assembly grid. Adult installation required and this is for ages 8 and up.

Note* PC system minimum requirements:  Windows XP/Vista/7, 2 GHz, 1 GB memory, 600 dpi printer, 4x CD-Rom or Macintosh OS X 10.4.11, 1.83 GHz Intel, 512 memory, 600 dpi printer, 4x CD-Rom.
And don’t forget to follow Hasbro on Twitter and Facebook so that you can keep up with their latest news!
Disclosure - I received a free copy of Ji Ga Zo to provide a fair and honest review.  All opinions expressed are strictly my own and were not influenced in any way.  No form of monetary compensation was exchanged.

Here is my story! Make sure to go enter!!

My husband and a co-worker of his were at a convention together and were sharing a large suite on the 13th floor of the convention hotel.  After a long day of meetings they were dismayed to discover that the elevators in their hotel were out of order and wouldn't be repaired until later the next day. To make matters worse, they would have to climb 13 flights of stairs to get to their room.  My husband suggested to his co-worker, John, that they break the monotony of their unpleasant task by concentrating on something interesting.  My husband, Mark, said that he would tell some jokes for a few flights and then John could tell some stories the rest of the way.  At around the 7th or 8th floor it was John's turn to lighten the mood, but his story wasn't exactly all that positive.

He turned to my husband and said, "I have a story that I can start with, but it's more or less a sad one."

"Um, okay," my husband replied, unsure of where John was going.

"It begins with, I left the room key in the car."
