Now that I have my diet under control with the South Beach Diet, I have added exercise back into my life as well. I am going to the gym at a minimum of three times a week now. I have even convinced my family to eat healthier and walk as much as they can in a single day. We are all walking our way back to getting heart healthy.
I am trying to be a positive role model for my four daughters by keeping a healthy weight and eating a heart healthy and smart diet. The word "diet" is a bad four letter word in my house. I prefer to call it eating healthy. I don't want my girls to ever feel like they have to diet. I just want them to eat a balanced diet of healthy items. I think teaching them good nutrition and exercise is one of the best things I can do as a Mother.
