Ever since I have been a little girl I have always loved jewelery. The more the better. I have always loved charm bracelets and having different charms to dedicate to different aspects of my life. I would have loved something like this when I was a little girl. I  have recently come across a great line of girl's jewelery call CHARM IT!. After looking around their website for a awhile I knew I had to get these for my daughters. I totally understand why they are so popular with  from ages 5-14. CHARM IT! was kind enough to work with me and sent me bracelets and charms for my three youngest daughters.

The girls were so excited to receive the charm bracelets. They haven't taken the bracelets off since they got them. They were all excited to wear them to school and show all of their friends, since most of them didn't have the same thing. They have become quite the talk at school since the girls started wearing them.

We were given the opportunity to choose three charms per bracelet, so I chose the same for all three so there were no fights! :) As soon as I opened the box I couldn't believe how cute they were. We all fell in love with them right away and you will too!

CHARM IT! Has been kind enough to offer one lucky reader a bracelet with five charms of their choice.  One young lady is going to be very happy to receive this bracelet.  Even if you don’t win, check out the site.  The prices are very affordable and there are charms in a variety of categories, so there is sure to be something for everyone.  I have a feeling I’ll be making many more trips to the CHARM IT! site to pick up gifts for my daughters and their friends.

New Dominos Specialty Chicken

Recently, Dominos announced a new innovative way the restaurant chain was going to serve its delicious chicken, calling it aptly enough, Specialty Chicken. The dish features a combination of toppings, sauces and cheeses layered over twelve bites of lightly breaded, whole breast white meat chicken. The four unique flavors offered include Crispy Bacon & Tomato, Spicy Jalapeno-Pineapple, Classic Hot Buffalo and Sweet BBQ Bacon. My family had the pleasure of tasting the crispy bacon & tomato and it was very good. In fact, you could even make a meal out of it for one person!

As you can see from the photos we took, there are just enough toppings on the chicken to enhance its tenderness and delicious, robust flavor. None of the ingredients overpowers the other and it was not greasy at all. The cheese had a smooth, mellow flavor that accented the texture of the crispy chicken underneath and was further enhanced by the firmness of the tomatoes . The bacon was also a great addition and was cooked perfectly. Again, you’d think that such a dish might off as greasy, what with all of the cheese and bacon, but that was not the case, and it was a welcome surprise.

Dominos really knocked it out of the park with this one and we can’t wait to order more over the weekend as a side dish to their pizzas, which we often prefer over other chains. Most likely we’ll have to order more than one, though, because our kids loved the chicken, too, and that’s no small feat when you have picky eaters.

I Took My Nails Off! What You Need To Know About Fake Nails

About two years ago I decided I wanted to have cool nails. I have always been able to grow my own but, for some reason I fancied having fake nails so I could go have them done. I guess I was just getting lazy. I didn't feel like doing my nails anymore. So, I went and got acrylic nails put on.

Two weeks ago, I have decided I have had enough with the time and money it takes to keep these nails up. I wanted to go back to my own natural nails. Well, when you get them put on they don't tell you many things. Here are a few in case you didn't know:

1. Your nails will be damaged from having the fake ones on. I mean paper thin and damaged.
2. It takes forever to soak the things off. I was at the nail place for over two hours just getting them taken off.
3. You have to do something with your "own" nails after you take the fake ones off.
4. This all costs money and major upkeep.
5. I had to get a no chip manicure to keep my paper thin nails strong and from splitting.

I have been doing a no-chip manicure now just about every three weeks. My nails are still so thin. Every time I grow them out a little they seem to break. There is no way around this except for not putting on acrylic or gel nails.
My suggestion is, if you really want them put on only put them on for a short while or don't get them done at all. The damage that is does to your real nails is incredible and I am still waiting after all these  months to find out how long it will take to get my real nails back in good shape.

My Facebook Stalker

I don't know about you, but I have a love/hate relationship with Facebook. It is a great time-killer, old friend finder and fun for games, but there is so much about it that I can't stand. Sometimes it is not that great to get in touch with the past, sometimes the people drive you crazy, (see my  post Those Facebook Friends), and then there are the stalkers in your life!!

I know I have a few select people who "stalk" around other people's pages and just sit back and keep quite. I am ok with that. Not all people like to be front and center. But, then what do you do when you get an actual stalker.....and it turns out to be your own Mother!!

If your Mom is on Facebook you will completely understand. She asked me about six months ago to get her signed up. I must admit I wasn't really happy with the thought of having to share "my space" with her. But, over time it seemed ok. Things were going fine until one day she starts grilling me about my weekend. "So, how much fun did you have at that bar this weekend?", "I see you went out with so and so this weekend", "What did your post mean when you said ____".

She is killing me with these comments. She stalks me all weekend and then brings it up every Monday. I feel like I am being spied on all the time. My Mom and I are close and I tell  her just about everything, but Jeez!! Some things are better just left unspoken.

So, is your Mom on Facebook? How do you handle her?
